We start with the architecture and the way people move through it, not with a product list. We then engineer the control layer (Crestron, KNX, Lutron, Control4) to be reliable and silent, integrate every subsystem behind it, and calibrate until a single command does the work of twenty. The interface is reduced to the fewest possible touches; the wiring, processors, and logic stay out of sight.

New construction gives us the most freedom to conceal infrastructure, but we regularly retrofit occupied homes and buildings using wireless and hybrid topologies — Lutron's wireless lighting ecosystem is particularly strong here — that minimise disruption to finished interiors. A retrofit is planned around the household: work is phased room by room, cabling is routed through existing service paths where possible, and the family keeps living in the house while it quietly becomes more capable. The earlier we're involved — ideally alongside the architect and interior designer — the more invisible the result, which is why we encourage even renovation clients to bring us in at the drawing stage. Either way, the finished system behaves identically: one interface, curated scenes, and technology that disappears into the architecture.
Yes. We design core automation logic to run locally on the processor, so lighting, climate, shades and scenes continue to function exactly as programmed without an internet connection. Cloud access is used for remote control, voice assistants and updates — conveniences, not dependencies — so an outage never leaves you standing in a dark room. This local-first architecture is one of the meaningful differences between professionally engineered platforms such as Crestron, Lutron, KNX and Control4 and consumer smart-home gadgets, many of which stop working the moment their cloud service or Wi-Fi hiccups. We also engineer the network itself with enterprise-grade hardware and segmentation, and specify power protection for the control equipment, so the automation layer stays dependable through the realities of Indian power and connectivity.

There is no single best platform; the right choice depends on the project's scale, the priority systems and the architecture, which is exactly why MCBEE engineers all of them in-house. As a guide: Crestron suits large and AV-heavy projects where deep customisation matters; Control4 fits streamlined residential automation with excellent value; KNX — the global open standard — is ideal for whole-building services like HVAC, energy and lighting infrastructure; and Lutron leads the world in lighting and shading control. MCBEE will often combine them in one project rather than choosing only one: Lutron handling light, KNX the building services, Crestron the AV and user experience, all programmed to behave as a single system. An integrator locked into one brand cannot make that recommendation honestly — platform-neutral specification is the point.
